EASILY SETUP IN MINUTES, NO PROGRAMMING REQUIRED
Setup Tips
Board Placement
The circuit board must sit flat inside the shell for the buttons to work properly.
Battery Position
Place the battery in the same direction it was installed in your original fob.
Transponder Chip
Some fobs have a small chip that must be transferred for the vehicle to start.
Quick Answers Before You Swap
Do replacement shells need programming?
No. A replacement shell is only the outside case. Your original circuit board keeps the same programming
Are electronics included?
No. Replacement shells do not include a circuit board, battery, or programming chip unless clearly stated on the product page
What parts do I need to move over?
Most shells need to move the circuit board, battery, rubber buttons, and sometimes the emergency key blade or small transponder chip.
Why won’t my buttons work after the swap?
Usually the circuit board is not seated all the way down, the buttons are not lined up, or the battery is facing the wrong direction
Why won’t my car start after changing the shell?
Some keys have a small transponder chip inside the old shell. If that chip is not moved into the new shell, the car may not start
Can I reuse my original key blade?
Sometimes, yes. It depends on the shell style. If the original blade fits the new shell, you may be able to transfer it
What should I do before snapping the shell shut?
Test the lock/unlock buttons first. Once everything works, then close the shell fully
